Can you put together a new TV stand/cabinet?

We bought a new TV stand that's like a cabinet below and when we looked at the instruction book it just seems too much for us. It's made of lightweight wood and it looks like you have to get down on the floor to assemble it. 

It's not real tall more like a 50" long cabinet and the TV sit's on top of it. Sorry I don't have a picture. Lots of screws involved with a detailed assembly manual. 

Please email me if you can help. Your help will be much appreciated! The new TV is sitting on the floor.
