Cashiers are needed for taking credit cards via Square. The square devices attach to your smart phone and use the Community Center wifi secured connction.
Cashiers will take credit cards or cash, tally the items, and place a sold sticker on the piece or art.
If you have a smart phone or tablet, download the Square Register app. It's free. Contact Grace to give her your email that you use on your smart or tablet, and she will send an email to you giving you access and ability to take credit card payments for Burien Arts. The credit cards numbers you use with Square Register do not stay on and are not recorded by your phone.
We have about 500 pieces of art, so 10 cashiers are needed. Approx 3 people for cash and 7 people with smart phones or tablets for credit cards.
Cashier meeting at 5:PM for instructions and verify devises are working correctly.
Light dinner is available is volunteers! Check out the art. Payments are taken after the silent auction closes and the bell rings, signifying the time to take the art.
The event ends at 10 pm, but the cashiers will be done before then.
Travel time to the event is given.
This is our biggest fundraiser, and we really appreciate your help and willingness to volunteer!!! The event is a LOT of FUN!!
