Our neighbors need your help!
The Clothesline is a free clothing store for low-income individuals and families in Seattle run by West Seattle Helpline. We provide new and like-new clothing to members of our community who are working toward self-sufficiency. This means coats for young children to keep them warm on the playground, professional clothing for job interviews, new shirts and pants for fast-growing young adults, and more.
As a Clothesline volunteer, you will help sort incoming clothing donations, stock and organize our clothing store with high-need items, and assist our clients as they shop for the clothes they need for themselves and their family. You will work alongside our core of weekly Clothesline super volunteers who can answer any questions you have along the way.
The Clothesline is currently open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10:30am-2:00pm. We are looking to add volunteers to help with those shifts as well as to open during additional weekend and evening hours. We're happy to work with your schedule and welcome volunteers interested in either a regular weekly OR monthly opportunity!
