I'm going to make mine with ham, Swiss cheese and onion with a bell pepper "crust", but you can use whatever you like.
Here is the classic recipe (which my mother got from a French woman 50+ years ago):
1-9" unbaked pie shell
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
8 oz. Swiss cheese, grated (2 cups)
1.5 cups half & half or light cream
½ tsp salt
⅛ tsp pepper
1 T butter
