Crocheting Socks, Need Pattern and Personal Instructions

I know how to crochet--started in 2005.  However, crocheting socks (especially the heel area) has me stumped.  I have watched several YouTube videos and I still do not "get it."

Does anyone have a good pattern and can help me crochet socks, especially the heel area?  I would be eternally grateful.  Sincerely, Beth
