I can help you plan for, shop for, and start installing a seasonal above-ground drip irrigation system for your yard and/or garden.
Drip irrigation efficiently gets water right to the roots of your plants. It saves water and saves you from having to drag hoses around and stand around with a sprayer for hours.
I can test your outdoor faucets for flow, advise you on how many zones you need, and estimate the amount of tubing and number of emitters you need. I can help you order supplies online or help you shop (Home Depot has a decent selection). I can show you how the irrigation "headsets" and timers go together, and help lay the first backbone tubing and install the first emitters.
Or you can come tour or help set up my irrigation (in which case I should give you time!) for the season. That will happen before it stops raining completely, but after we know what's going where in the garden (probably May or June).
My qualifications: I took a two-hour class at "farm school" (check it out next winter!) about five years ago and have been building and adjusting our home irrigation system since then. Last year we had a six-zone system for veggies, fruit trees, perennials, and containers. It did not look especially professional, but it did save water while keeping everything alive.
