DNDA's Nature Consortium Program is hosting an annual Duwamish Alive! Fall Planting Event and we want you to join us!
As a partner of the Duwamish Alive! Coalition, we are hosting this community event to celebrate the kick-off of planting season. Volunteers, led by our forest restoration staff, will install native plants and remove invasive species from our local park in the West Duwamish Greenbelt. We will have live music in the woods during the event and we will provide pizza afterwards to show our appreciation for all the hard work our volunteers have accomplished. This event is family-friendly and open to all ages. No experience needed!
Date: Saturday, October 21st
Time: 10:00am-2:00pm
Location: Pigeon Point (1901 SW Genesee St Seattle, WA 98106)
How To Sign Up: http://www.naturec.org/volunteer
Come dressed for the weather (rain or shine) in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. We'll have tools and gloves for you to use, as well as water, and snacks. Help reduce waste by bringing your own refillable water bottle if you have one. If you have any questions feel free to contact us.
