I just offered to do one more thing! I offered to take-on and manage the new composting system we'll use at the New Start Community Garden in north Burien.
614 SW 120th, Burien, WA 98146 Yes, the Community garden is open during the social distancing for COVD-19, since Community Gardens are deemed an essential service.
I know a little bit about composting. How about you? I could use help and advise.
The bins are built! YAY! We have 2 professionally-built large wood and metal mesh bins, each with 3 sections.
I have a succinct pamphlet on composting, that I bought from the Recology Store here in Burien, which is pretty good.
It has some great ideas. But I hope to have someone who has done this before that can give me tips from experience.
I also plan to create a workshop and offer it free of charge, when the social distancing requirements are lifted. AND I can provide light lunches at the workshop since it has some grant funding. However, I will plan now and create the workshop in Power Point so it can be shared with other gardeners.
Are you interested? Would you like to co-host a workshop with me, or just offer some tips on composting?
