I have decided to attend the WS Chamber of Commerce's SPEED Networking event on February 15th. My goal is simple for the luncheon: Make some new WS area connections and see if I'd like to join the Chamber as an entrepreneur/self-employed individual.
Of course, as part of any networking event, you get to introduce yourself. In this case, over and over! I have a fluid elevator speech I try to stick to, but it's time to update it a bit. I should have a few edits done by the end of this week.
What I'd like is to have is several people take a look at the pitch and give me a bit of feedback. I'd love to find a variety of Timebank members for this exercise - from people that know me to new Timebank members that I'll eventually meet someday. A variety of business (or non-business) backgrounds is also a plus to me. I'm not looking for a coach, I'd like to try it out on the general Timebanking public. Due to schedules, etc, I won't be able to do this in person, but would email you the statement I hope to us. Give me some feedback - what isn't clear, what's good to include, how would you rewrite part of the statment, etc.
