Looking for a new, laptop and need your ideas.

I'm looking for one between t$400 and $700, to be for all my business, volunteer communications and Zoom meetings(so it needs to have a camera, of course.  I'd love your suggestions, based on your experience.  I'm currently using an HP but it's slowing down.  I use a mouse with it so touch screen isn't necessary (?).  I'd also like your opinion(s) about how many GB is best, and what do I need to know about the "core"?  I'd appreciate all suggestions and will give you at least an hour for your help.  Thanks much!!!  Hannah, do you have time to help me?
