With just 75 individuals in the southern resident orca population, it's all hands on deck to save J, K and L pods. You can help!

The Orca Half Marathon will be held Sunday 9/23 from 8 AM to 1. The course follows the West Seattle shoreline, from Lincoln Park to Don Armeni - passing 4 Whale Trail sites along the way!
Participants are running or walking for individual orcas - race bibs feature the life histories of specific whales! And Mike, an inflatable orca modeled after J-26, will be with us at the finish line at Don Armeni Park.
We need volunteers to help us support the marathon - handing out water an an aid station, picking up race packets, passing out medals as or other tasks as assigned.
Sign up NOW at the Orca Half website, and be sure to indicate you are with The Whale Trail. Please also send an email to Donna so we can keep track of how many people are signed up.
