The Orca Half Marathon will be held this Sunday 9/24 from 9 AM to 1. The Whale Trail is the nonprofit partner for this event.
We're looking for volunteers to help us support the marathon - handing out water an an aid station or other tasks as assigned. The course follows the West Seattle shoreline, from Lincoln Park to Don Armeni - passing 4 Whale Trail sites along the way!
Participants are running or walking for individual orcas - race bibs feature the life histories of specific whales! And Mike, an inflatable orca modeled after J-26, will be with us at the finish line at Don Armeni Park. We want this event to be fun and meaningful, connecting participants and their supporters to the recovery of our endangered southern resident orcas (J, K and L pods).
Sign up NOW at the Orca Half website, and be sure to indicate you are with The Whale Trail. Questions? contact
