Join with Nature Consortium at the Delridge Wetland Park in restoring our new wetland through weeding and sheet mulching. Wetlands are important buffers between pollution from industrialized areas and waterways such as the Longfellow Creek, one of the only tributaries to the Duwamish River which hosts spawning salmon! Volunteers will provide a crucial boost to efforts aimed at restoring sites to healthy, diverse forests by planting native plant species and removing invasive plant species.

Where: Delridge Wetland Park, 5601 23rd Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98106

When: Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 am - 2 pm

What to bring: Please dress appropriately with long pants, warm and dry layers, closed-toed shoes, lunch, and water bottle.

What we provide: Tools, gloves, onsite training and safety talk, extra water, and granola bars.
