It’s a great opportunity to learn how 501c3 organization boards operate. Plus, you will be helping to maintain and plan the future of your Timebank! The board welcomes your ideas and skills.

Board members attend a monthly meeting and can bank their time. For a description of officer duties see info below.

It’s easy to join:

Send your name and position you are interested in to: Tamsen Spengler by May 16th at [email protected] and she’ll add your name to the ballot.

The board and members will vote for officers on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 via a virtual meeting from 6:30 pm – 8:00pm. Elections should only take 30 min.

Positions Open:

  • Secretary
  • West Seattle Vice President
  • Burien Vice President
  • White Center Vice President
  • At Large member

All positions are for a 2 year term with a 6 month trial period.

 

Descriptions of Officer’s Positions

  1. All officers shall serve a term of two (2) years from election or until their successors are elected.
  2. All officers shall serve as members of the Executive Board.

The duties and powers of the officers shall be as follows:

Vice President(s): 3 positions – West Seattle, Burien, White Center,

In the absence or inability of the president to perform his or her duties the First Vice President shall assume all duties and privileges of the President.

  1. Vice Presidents selected to represent the area in which they live. The First Vice president is decided by the most recent date of election. 
  2. The Vice President(s) shall serve as a member of the Executive Board.

Secretary:

  1. Keep minutes of all Executive Board Meetings.
    2. Attend to the official correspondence of the Corporation.
    3. Serve as a member of the Executive Board.
    4. Perform all duties incident to the office of Secretary.

 

At Large:

  1. Serve as a member of the Board.
  2. Attend board meetings.
  3. Support Timebank events and gatherings.
