For April, join the Timebank member gathering to embrace Spring and Earth Day with a seed and plant swap (houseplants welcome!).
Bring seeds, houseplants, cuttings, vegetable and flower starts, native plant cuttings or starts -- anything you want to share that's not messy (we'll be in a library meeting room).
Please divide up and label your seeds and label your plants before you arrive. The names of the plants or seeds are the most important. Recipients can look up care instructions on the Internet -- or check a book out of the library.
Some plant swaps include the exchange of money -- this one will not. Please come with the idea that you will give and take freely without extra compensation.
How it will work:
- 2:30 to 3:00: Set up and preview. Put your contributions in their designated areas like Houseplants, Flower Seeds, Vegetables, etc.
- 3:00 to 4:00: Pick out your new seeds and plants. Ask and answer questions. During this period we will try to keep an even balance between what you brought and what you take, with some leeway.
- 4:00 to 4:30: Free-for-all for what's left!
We won't be able to do any repotting during this event, but if that's something you need or want to help with, please post a request or an offer here and the Timebank will spring into action!
