West Seattle Timebank Welcome Package

Serving West Seattle, White Center, and Burien

Congratulations on becoming a member of the West Seattle Timebank!  The West Seattle Timebank is neighbors exchanging time to help neighbors.

At its most basic level, time banking is simply about spending an hour doing something for somebody in your community.  That hour goes into your Timebank account as one credit hour.  You then have a credit hour to spend on having someone do something for you.  All talents/skills are valued equally.

Timebanking builds a non-monetary community of support.  It is about engaging socially with others in your own community -- without any money being exchanged.

Bonus hours can also be earned as follows:

Activity Earned Hour(s)
Updated profile 1 hour*
Create 1st request 1 hour*
Create 1st offer 1 hour*
Attend orientation 1-2 depending on length*
Attend monthly gathering 1-2 depending on length for the gathering*

*It's important that you award your earned hours from TheTimebank upon completion of the above.

Timebank Mission:  West Seattle Timebank builds connections between members and member organizations as they exchange services, skills, talents and time.
